Flooring supplied and fitted
Five flooring types plus proper sub-floor preparation, all handled by the same team. Every option below can be seen as a sample in your own home before you decide.
Carpets
Carpets for bedrooms, lounges and whole houses
Carpet is the flooring most people live on every day, so it is worth getting the feel and colour right. Instead of choosing from a small square in a shop, the samples are laid out in the room they will go in, in your own light and next to your own furniture.
Whether it is one bedroom or a whole house, the carpet is measured during the same visit and fitted by the same team that supplied it.
Seen in the right room
Colour and texture look different under your own lighting. Samples let you judge that properly.
Measured on the day
Each room is measured during the visit, so the quote reflects the actual space.
Fitted by the same team
No separate fitting contractor. The people who quote are the people who fit.
Suits any room
Bedrooms, lounges, halls and landings, or the whole property in one go.
Luxury vinyl tile
LVT for busy rooms and hard-wearing floors
Luxury vinyl tile gives you a hard-wearing, easy-to-clean floor with a realistic finish. It is the option to look at when a carpet is not practical but you still want something that looks considered rather than purely functional.
It is well suited to kitchens and hallways, where feet, chairs and spillages all take their toll, and it works in commercial spaces for the same reasons.
Plank or herringbone
Two layout options: straight planks, or a herringbone pattern for a more distinctive floor.
Hard-wearing
Copes with the traffic a kitchen or hallway gets without needing special care.
Easy to clean
A smooth surface that wipes over quickly, which matters in the rooms it suits best.
Not just for homes
The same qualities make it a practical choice for commercial spaces.
Laminate
Laminate for a warm, wood-effect floor
Laminate gives living rooms and bedrooms the look of wood with a surface that stands up to everyday family life. It is a straightforward choice when you want warmth underfoot and a clean, even finish.
As with every other option, samples come to you, so you can see how the grain and tone sit against your walls and furniture before committing.
Wood-effect finish
The appearance of timber, with a practical surface underneath.
Made for daily life
A sensible fit for living rooms and bedrooms in busy households.
Even, clean finish
Fitted as a continuous surface rather than piecemeal, so the room reads as one space.
Chosen at home
See the samples in the room itself, not under shop lighting.
Sheet vinyl
Sheet vinyl for kitchens, bathrooms and utility rooms
Sheet vinyl is the practical answer for rooms that see water. It is water-resistant, comfortable to stand on and available in patterns that suit both older and newer properties.
It is commonly used in kitchens, bathrooms and utility rooms, where a carpet would not last and a hard tile may not be what you want underfoot.
Water-resistant
Copes with the splashes and damp that come with kitchens and bathrooms.
Pattern choice
Tile, stone and wood patterns are all available.
Fits awkward rooms
A continuous sheet works well in utility rooms and smaller spaces.
Practical underfoot
Softer to stand on than hard tiling, which helps in rooms you use daily.
Stairs and runners
Stairs, landings and stair runners
Stairs are one of the harder parts of a flooring job to get right, and one of the most visible once finished. Two approaches are available: carpet the stairs and landing fully, or fit a runner and leave the wood on either side exposed.
Both are measured and fitted as part of the same visit as the rest of the flooring, so the stairs match the rooms they lead to.
Fully carpeted
Stairs and landings carpeted edge to edge for a softer, quieter staircase.
Stair runners
A runner down the middle, with the wood left on show at either side.
Matched to the rooms
Chosen alongside the rest of the flooring so the house feels consistent.
Neat finish
Stairs are the first thing people see in a hallway, so the finish matters.
Sub-floor preparation
A floor is only as good as what is under it
Before anything new goes down, the old flooring comes up and the sub-floor is made good. It is the least visible part of the job and the part that decides how well the finished floor performs.
This is treated as part of a proper installation rather than an optional extra. Skipping it is often why a new floor starts to feel uneven or wears badly in the first place.
Old flooring removed
Existing carpet or flooring is taken up before the new one is prepared for.
Base made good
Uneven or damaged areas are dealt with so the new floor has something solid to sit on.
Better finished result
A sound base means fewer lumps, dips and early failures once the floor is down.
Included, not added on
Treated as part of the installation rather than a surprise extra.
Not sure which to choose?
See them side by side at home
Most people narrow it down once the samples are actually in the room. Bring carpet, LVT, laminate and vinyl together and the decision usually makes itself. Measuring and quoting are free, and there is no obligation to go ahead.
